Frequently asked questions
What is Quoth?
Quoth is a public gallery of AI character simulations. Each character has a page that says who they are and what you can talk about. You sign in only to send a message. The character is an AI simulation, not the real person.
Is Quoth free?
Reading pages is free and does not need an account. A new account receives trial credits for chat, and that batch lasts one month. Further messages spend credits. Signed-in users can buy another pack.
Is anyone real on the other side?
No. Every character is an AI simulation. The page says so before you chat, and the model is not that person.
Do I need an account to look?
No. The home page, the gallery, and published character pages are public. You sign in with Google only when you send a message.
Are chats saved?
Yes. Quoth keeps one conversation for each signed-in user and character, and restores that thread on the next visit.
How do I start?
Open the gallery, read a character page, then choose Start chat. The first sign-in grants credits. The charge is applied after a reply is finished.
